Dear Parents/Carers PDF Download

I have attached a joint letter from the school and West Midlands Police over the growing concern we have nationally and locally around knife crime. Next week the police will be working with various partner agencies in Op Sceptre to focus on knife crime. Schools within Dudley are supporting this and working together to ensure our children are safe and continue to understand the impact of this crime.

Yesterday, we remembered one of our own students who 6 years ago was fatally stabbed. The memory of that day and following days is easily the worst that I have experienced and would not want to repeat this again for the school or the families concerned. This is why we are uniting with the police for this focus.

Yours sincerely,
Mr M Mynott
Headteacher

Beauty and the Beast

14 Students from year 8 went last Thursday afternoon to the hippodrome to watch Birmingham royal ballet perform beauty and the beast. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would love to see a traditional ballet again in future.

In the Spotlight: Frankie 9S2

Frankie played in the UK U15's Regional Rugby Finals at Chester RFC yesterday where she scored a winning try with 3 minutes of the game left to go which secured the team the Winners of the Regional Cup. They will now go on to play in the National Finals on Sunday 7th April. Go Frankie Go!

An amazing achievement of which we are all extremely proud of. This is in addition to the recent news that she has been selected to play for the North MIdlands U15's County Rugby Team, of which at their first Festival last Sunday 24th her County Team won 9 out of 9 matches. An unprecedented result. Well done Frankie A*
